8Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which Jehovah sware unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
8and he said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the company which is left shall escape.
12Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
20And he said, Thou shalt not pass through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
21Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
3And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the field of Edom.
40But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.
18Thou art this day to pass over Ar, the border of Moab:
8And Esau dwelt in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
