9Be strong, and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.
42And Jehovah said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.
8And Jehovah said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thy hands; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

27but thy servants will pass over, every man that is armed for war, before Jehovah to battle, as my lord saith.
6Be strong and of good courage; for thou shalt cause this people to inherit the land which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
16and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Jehovah.
7They run like mighty men; they climb the wall like men of war; and they march every one on his ways, and they break not their ranks.
5Wherefore have I seen it? they are dismayed and are turned backward; and their mighty ones are beaten down, and are fled apace, and look not back: terror is on every side, saith Jehovah.

13Then shalt thou prosper, if thou observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Jehovah charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; fear not, neither be dismayed.
22And the people, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves, and set the battle again in array in the place where they set themselves in array the first day.
24And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.
17Ye shall not need to fight in this [battle] : set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of Jehovah with you, O Judah and Jerusalem; fear not, nor be dismayed: to-morrow go out against them: for Jehovah is with you.
2And the chiefs of all the people, even of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.
