10For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
1Ask ye of Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain, [even of] Jehovah that maketh lightnings; and he will give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
10For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs;
5For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God;
10Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholdeth its fruit.
10Thou waterest its furrows abundantly; Thou settlest the ridges thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers; Thou blessest the springing thereof.
28The earth beareth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
9Yet through the scent of water it will bud, And put forth boughs like a plant.
