14What is man, that he should be clean? And he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

2I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me.
1Then Job answered and said,
29When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn? And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? Alike whether [it be done] unto a nation, or unto a man:

19If [we speak] of strength, lo, [he is] mighty! And if of justice, Who, [saith he], will summon me?
17What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him, And that thou shouldest set thy mind upon him,
15Therefore am I terrified at his presence; When I consider, I am afraid of him.
1Then Job answered and said,
7There the upright might reason with him; So should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
15What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? And what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
6If thou hast sinned, what effectest thou against him? And if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
1Then Job answered and said,
28This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judges; For I should have denied the God that is above.
14Wherefore should I take my flesh in my teeth, And put my life in my hand?
4Is it for thy fear [of him] that he reproveth thee, That he entereth with thee into judgment?
