7Since the days of our fathers we have been exceeding guilty unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to plunder, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
14Therefore hath Jehovah watched over the evil, and brought it upon us; for Jehovah our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth, and we have not obeyed his voice.
15And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
17Our eyes do yet fail [in looking] for our vain help: In our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save.
18They hunt our steps, so that we cannot go in our streets: Our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come.
42Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand.
5we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from thy precepts and from thine ordinances;
6neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, that spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
12As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they that lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

7and we cried unto Jehovah, the God of our fathers, and Jehovah heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression;

4Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: Who is lord over us?
7The rich ruleth over the poor; And the borrower is servant to the lender.
9For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.
20We acknowledge, O Jehovah, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against thee.
16There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.
13O Jehovah our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
10neither have we obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
13And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great guilt, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such a remnant,
8O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid unto the hand of her mistress; So our eyes [look] unto Jehovah our God, Until he have mercy upon us.
3Have mercy upon us, O Jehovah, have mercy upon us; For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
19We are become as they over whom thou never barest rule, as they that were not called by thy name.
8Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty gods? these are the gods that smote the Egyptians with all manner of plagues in the wilderness.
3Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.

12Give us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man.
42We have transgressed and have rebelled; thou hast not pardoned.
24But the shameful thing hath devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
5And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the old man, and the base against the honorable.
