8And they read in the book, in the law of God, distinctly; and they gave the sense, so that they understood the reading.
9And on the eighth day they held a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

6this Ezra went up from Babylon: and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which Jehovah, the God of Israel, had given; and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of Jehovah his God upon him.
9But I am Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.
15And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there we encamped three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
17And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
6Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Jehovah.
