16O Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee a house for thy holy name cometh of thy hand, and is all thine own.
6Surely every man walketh in a vain show; Surely they are disquieted in vain: He heapeth up [riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.
5and let them deliver it into the hand of the workmen that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah; and let them give it to the workmen that are in the house of Jehovah, to repair the breaches of the house,
6unto the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons, and for buying timber and hewn stone to repair the house.
17For in vain is the net spread In the sight of any bird:
29Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him,
8Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith Jehovah.
9Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith Jehovah of hosts. Because of my house that lieth waste, while ye run every man to his own house.
3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4Behold, he that keepeth Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep.
11Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished; But he that gathereth by labor shall have increase.

2Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher; vanity of vanities, all is vanity.
15Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; And the idle soul shall suffer hunger.
4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, Or slumber to mine eyelids;
2Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of the house of our God.
10Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, And thy labors [be] in the house of an alien,
6I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah's remembrancers, take ye no rest,
7and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
5Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
8When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thy house, if any man fall from thence.
11Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do; and, behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.
11He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread; But he that followeth after vain [persons] is void of understanding.
22The stone which the builders rejected Is become the head of the corner.
23This is Jehovah's doing; It is marvellous in our eyes.
15The labor of fools wearieth every one of them; for he knoweth not how to go to the city.
16For they sleep not, except they do evil; And their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
2For thou hast made of a city a heap, of a fortified city a ruin, a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
7Wherewith the reaper filleth not his hand, Nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
3Commit thy works unto Jehovah, And thy purposes shall be established.
17Unless Jehovah had been my help, My soul had soon dwelt in silence.
2Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem; He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
1Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars:
4Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your ceiled houses, while this house lieth waste?
