8And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, in that I have done this thing: but now, put away, I beseech thee, the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
9To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness; for we have rebelled against him;
18O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies' sake.
19O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God, because thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
18For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

13Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins] ; Let them not have dominion over me: Then shall I be upright, And I shall be clear from great transgression.
10For thy lovingkindness is great unto the heavens, And thy truth unto the skies.
18Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness.
22Let all their wickedness come before thee; And do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: For my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.

12For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
17And now, I pray thee, let the power of the Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,
5O God, thou knowest my foolishness; And my sins are not hid from thee.
3O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands;
1O Jehovah, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, [even] counsels of old, in faithfulness [and] truth.
