Verse 1

A Psalm of David. Jehovah,{H3068} I have called{H7121} upon thee; Make haste{H2363} unto me: Give ear{H238} unto my voice,{H6963} when I call{H7121} unto thee.

Verse 2

Let my prayer{H8605} be set forth{H3559} as incense{H7004} before{H6440} thee; The lifting up{H4864} of my hands{H3709} as the evening{H6153} sacrifice.{H4503}

Verse 3

Set{H7896} a watch,{H8108} O Jehovah,{H3068} before my mouth;{H6310} Keep{H5341} the door{H1817} of my lips.{H8193}

Verse 4

Incline{H5186} not my heart{H3820} to any evil{H7451} thing,{H1697} To practise{H5953} deeds{H5949} of wickedness{H7562} With men{H376} that work{H5949} iniquity:{H205} And let me not eat{H3898} of their dainties.{H4516}

Verse 5

Let the righteous{H6662} smite{H1986} me, [it shall be] a kindness;{H2617} And let him reprove{H3198} me, [it shall be as] oil{H8081} upon the head;{H7218} Let not my head{H7218} refuse{H5106} it: For even in their wickedness{H7451} shall my prayer{H8605} continue.

Verse 6

Their judges{H8199} are thrown{H8058} down by the sides{H3027} of the rock;{H5553} And they shall hear{H8085} my words;{H561} For they are sweet.{H5276}

Verse 7

As when one ploweth{H6398} and cleaveth{H1234} the earth,{H776} Our bones{H6106} are scattered{H6340} at the mouth{H6310} of Sheol.{H7585}

Verse 8

For mine eyes{H5869} are unto thee, O Jehovah{H3069} the Lord:{H136} In thee do I take refuge;{H2620} leave{H6168} not my soul{H5315} destitute.{H6168}

Verse 9

Keep{H8104} me from the snare{H3027} which they have laid{H3369} for me, And from the gins{H4170} of the workers{H6466} of iniquity.{H205}

Verse 10

Let the wicked{H7563} fall{H5307} into their own nets,{H4364} Whilst that I withal{H3162} escape.{H5674}
