Og Herrens ord kom til meg og sa:

The word of the LORD came to me, saying:

Menneskesønn, du bor midt iblant et opprørsk folk. De har øyne, men ser ikke, ører har de, men hører ikke. For de er et opprørsk hus.

Son of man, you are living among a rebellious house. They have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious house.

Du menneskesønn, lag deg pakkesaker for eksil og dra ut på dagtid for øynene deres. Gå fra ditt sted til et annet sted for øynene deres. Kanskje de vil forstå, for de er et opprørsk hus.

Therefore, son of man, pack your belongings as if for exile and go into exile in their sight—by day, in their sight—so that they may see. Move from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house.

Ta pakkesakene dine ut om dagen for øynene deres som pakkesaker for eksil, og gå ut om kvelden for øynene deres som de som går i eksil.

Bring out your belongings as if for exile during the day, in their sight. Then, in the evening, leave in their sight, as if you were departing into exile.

In their sight, dig through the wall and carry your belongings through it.

Carry your things on your shoulder in their sight, at dusk. Cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.

Jeg gjorde som jeg ble befalt. Jeg tok ut tingene mine på dagen som for eksil og gravde gjennom veggen om kvelden med min hånd. Jeg tok dem ut i mørket, bar dem på skulderen for øynene deres.

So I did as I was commanded. By day, I brought out my belongings as if for exile. In the evening, I dug through the wall with my hands. I brought them out at dusk, carrying them on my shoulder in their sight.

Og Herrens ord kom til meg om morgenen og sa:

Then in the morning, the word of the LORD came to me, saying:

Menneskesønn, har ikke Israels hus, det opprørske folk, sagt til deg: Hva er det du gjør?

Son of man, has not the house of Israel, that rebellious house, asked you, ‘What are you doing?’

Si til dem: «Så sier Herren Gud: Denne profetien gjelder fyrstene i Jerusalem og hele Israels hus som bor der.»

Say to them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says: This oracle concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are in the city.’

Si: «Jeg er et tegn for dere. Som jeg har gjort, slik skal det bli gjort med dem. De skal dra bort i eksil.»

Say, ‘I am a sign to you. As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile, into captivity.’

Fyrsten som er blant dem, skal bære sine saker på skulderen i mørket og gå ut gjennom veggen. Han skal dekke til ansiktet, så han ikke ser landet med sine øyne.

The prince who is among them will shoulder his belongings and leave in the darkness. They will dig through the wall to bring him out. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land.

Jeg vil spre ut mitt nett over ham, og han skal bli fanget i min felle. Jeg vil føre ham til Babylon, landet til kaldeerne, men han skal ikke se det, og der skal han dø.

I will spread my net over him, and he will be caught in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die.

Alle som er rundt ham, hans hjelpere og alle hans tropper, vil jeg spre for alle vinder, og jeg vil dra sverdet etter dem.

I will scatter all who are around him—his helpers and all his troops—to every wind, and I will draw my sword after them.

Da skal de vite at jeg er Herren, når jeg sprer dem blant folkene og sprer dem utover landene.

Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the lands.

Men jeg vil spare noen få av dem fra sverd, sult og pest, så de kan fortelle om sine avskyeligheter blant folkene de kommer til. Da skal de vite at jeg er Herren.

But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine, and plague so that they may recount all their detestable practices among the nations where they go. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

Og Herrens ord kom til meg og sa:

The word of the LORD came to me, saying:

Menneskesønn, spis brødet ditt med skjelving og drikk vannet ditt med skjelving og bekymring.

Son of man, eat your bread with trembling, and drink your water with shaking and anxiety.

Og si til folket i landet: Så sier Herren Gud om innbyggerne i Jerusalem og i Israels land: De skal spise sitt brød med bekymring og drikke sitt vann i avmakt, fordi deres land blir utslettet for dens vold.

Say to the people of the land, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says about the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in desolation, for their land will be stripped of all it contains because of the violence of all who live there.’

Byene som er bebodd skal bli ødelagt, og landet skal bli en ødemark. Da skal dere vite at jeg er Herren.

The inhabited cities will be laid waste, and the land will become desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

Og Herrens ord kom til meg og sa:

The word of the LORD came to me, saying:

Menneskesønn, hva er dette ordtaket dere bruker i Israels land, som sier: Dagene går, og alle syner blir til intet?

Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: 'The days grow long, and every vision fails'?

Derfor skal du si til dem: Så sier Herren Gud: Jeg vil gjøre slutt på dette ordtaket, og de skal ikke lenger bruke det i Israel. Men si til dem: «Dagene er nær, og alle syner skal oppfylles.»

Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says: I will put an end to this proverb, and it will not be quoted in Israel anymore.’ But say to them, ‘The days are near when all visions will be fulfilled.’

For det skal ikke lenger være falske syner eller smigrende spådommer i Israels hus.

For there will no longer be any false visions or flattering divinations within the house of Israel.

For jeg, Herren, skal tale, og det ordet jeg taler skal bli fullført. Det skal ikke bli utsatt lenger, for i deres dager, dere opprørske folk, skal jeg tale et ord og fullføre det, sier Herren Gud.

For I am the LORD. I will speak, and whatever word I speak will come to pass. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and fulfill it, declares the Lord GOD.

Og Herrens ord kom til meg og sa:

The word of the LORD came to me, saying:

Menneskesønn, se, Israels hus sier: Synet han ser er for mange dager framover, og han profeterer om tider som er langt borte.

Son of man, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision he sees is for many days from now; he prophesies about times far off.’

Derfor skal du si til dem: Så sier Herren Gud: Ingen av mine ord skal bli utsatt lenger. Det ordet jeg taler, skal bli oppfylt, sier Herren Gud.

Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says: None of My words will be delayed any longer, but whatever I speak will be fulfilled, declares the Lord GOD.’
