Thirty-eight years had gone by from the time when we came away from Kadesh-barnea till we went over the stream Zered; by that time all the generation of the men of war among us were dead, as the Lord had said.

  • 5 For forty years I have been your guide through the waste land: your clothing has not become old on your backs, or your shoes on your feet.

  • 38 But Joshua, the son of Nun, and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, of those who went to see the land, were not touched by disease.

  • 3 All those from thirty to fifty years old who are able to do the work of the Tent of meeting.
