1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and a kind of immorality that is not even found among the Gentiles—a man is sleeping with his father’s wife.

It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

2 And you are proud! Shouldn't you rather have mourned so that the one who has done this would be removed from among you?

And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

3 For though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit, and I have already passed judgment on the one who has committed this act, as if I were present.

For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and my spirit is with you, along with the power of our Lord Jesus,

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

6 Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough?

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

7 Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch of dough, just as you are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

8 Therefore, let us celebrate the feast, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

10 I did not at all mean the sexually immoral people of this world, or the greedy, or swindlers, or idolaters. In that case, you would have to leave the world.

Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral, greedy, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunkard, or a swindler. With such a person, do not even eat.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 What business is it of mine to judge outsiders? Are you not to judge those inside the church?

For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

13 God will judge those outside. 'Expel the wicked person from among you.'

But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
