1 Moses samlet hele menigheten av Israels barn og sa til dem: "Dette er ordene som Herren har befalt at dere skal følge.

Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said to them, "These are the words which Yahweh has commanded, that you should do them.

2 'Seks dager skal arbeidet gjøres, men den sjuende dagen skal være en hellig dag for dere, en sabbat med fullstendig hvile for Herren. Den som utfører noe arbeid på den dagen skal dø.

'Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of solemn rest to Yahweh: whoever does any work in it shall be put to death.

3 Dere skal ikke tenne ild i noen av deres boliger på sabbatsdagen.'"

You shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations on the Sabbath day.'"

4 Moses talte til hele menigheten av Israels barn og sa: "Dette er det Herren har befalt,

Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, "This is the thing which Yahweh commanded, saying,

5 Ta opp en gave til Herren blant dere. Enhver med et villig hjerte skal bringe fram Herrens gave: gull, sølv, bronse,

'Take from among you an offering to Yahweh. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, Yahweh's offering: gold, silver, brass,

6 blått, purpur, skarlagen, fint lin, geitehår,

blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair,

7 værerhud farget rød, delfinskind, akasietre,

rams' skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood,

8 olje for lyset, krydder til salvingsoljen og den velluktende røkelsen,

oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,

9 onyxsteiner, og annet steinutstyr til efoden og brystskjoldet.

onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.

10 La alle kloke av hjertet blant dere komme og lage alt det Herren har befalt:

"Let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that Yahweh has commanded:

11 telthelligdommen og dekningene, taket, klammene, plankene, tverrstengene, stolpene og soklene,

the tent, its outer covering, its roof, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;

12 arken og stengene til den, nådestolen og forhenget til teppet,

the ark, and its poles, the mercy seat, the veil of the screen;

13 bordet med stengene og alt utstyret til det, og skuebrødene,

the table with its poles and all its vessels, and the show bread;

14 lysstaken til å gi lys og utstyret til den, lampene og oljen til lyset,

the lampstand also for the light, with its vessels, its lamps, and the oil for the light;

15 og røkelsesalteret med stengene, salvingsoljen, den velluktende røkelsen, teppet til døren ved inngangen til telthelligdommen,

and the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the screen for the door, at the door of the tent;

16 brennofferalteret med messinggitter, stengene og alt utstyret til det, vaskefatet med sokkelen,

the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of brass, it poles, and all its vessels, the basin and its base;

17 forhengene til forgården, stolpene, soklene og teppet ved inngangsporten til forgården,

the hangings of the court, its pillars, their sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court;

18 telthelligdommens plugger og forgårdens plugger, og deres snorer,

the pins of the tent, the pins of the court, and their cords;

All the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

21 Alle som hadde et hjerte som rørte seg til handling og alle som hadde en villig ånd, kom og brakte Herrens gave til arbeidet med møte–telthelligdommen, og til alt dens tjeneste og til de hellige klærne.

They came, everyone whose heart stirred him up, and everyone whom his spirit made willing, and brought Yahweh's offering, for the work of the tent of meeting, and for all of its service, and for the holy garments.

22 De kom, menn og kvinner, alle som hadde et villig hjerte, og brakte brystnåler, øreringer, signetringer, armringer, alle smykker av gull; hver mann som brakte en offergave av gull til Herren.

They came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought brooches, ear-rings, signet-rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to Yahweh.

23 Enhver som hadde blått, purpur, skarlagen, fint lin, geitehår, værerhud farget rødt og delfinskinn, brakte det.

Everyone, with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair, rams' skins dyed red, and sea cow hides, brought them.

24 Alle som kunne gi en gave av sølv og bronse, brakte Herrens gave; og enhver som hadde akasietre for noe av arbeidet med tjenesten, brakte det.

Everyone who did offer an offering of silver and brass brought Yahweh's offering; and everyone, with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.

25 Alle de kloke kvinnene spant med sine hender, og brakte det de hadde spunnet, det blå, det purpur, det skarlagen, og det fine lin.

All the women who were wise-hearted spun with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.

26 Alle kvinnene som ble grepet av kløkt, spant geitehårene.

All the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats' hair.

27 Lederne brakte onyxsteinene og stein til settings, for efoden og brystskjoldet,

The rulers brought the onyx stones, and the stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastplate;

28 krydderet og oljen for lyset, til salvingsoljen og til den velluktende røkelsen.

and the spice, and the oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.

29 Israels barn brakte en frivillig gave til Herren; enhver mann og kvinne, hvis hjerte inspirerte dem til å gi til alt det arbeidet som Herren hadde befalt å bli gjort gjennom Moses.

The children of Israel brought a freewill offering to Yahweh; every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which Yahweh had commanded to be made by Moses.

30 Moses sa til Israels barn: "Se, Herren har kalt Bezalel, sønn av Uri, sønn av Hur, av Juda stamme, ved navn.

Moses said to the children of Israel, "Behold, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

31 Han har fylt ham med Guds Ånd, med visdom, innsikt, kunnskap og alle slags ferdigheter,

He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

32 til å utføre kunstferdig arbeid, til å arbeide med gull, sølv og bronse,

and to make skillful works, to work in gold, in silver, in brass,

33 til å skjære steiner for inklusjon, og til trearbeid, til å utføre all slags kunstferdig arbeid.

in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of skillful workmanship.

34 Han har gitt ham i sitt hjerte å kunne undervise, både han, og Oholiab, sønn av Ahisamak, av Dans stamme.

He has put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 Han har fylt dem med ferdighetens visdom, til å utføre alt slags arbeid, den som graverer, den kunstferdige arbeideren, og brodereren, i blått, i purpur, i skarlagen og i fint lin, og veveren, av de som utfører noe arbeid, og av de som lager kunstverk.

He has filled them with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of workmanship, of the engraver, of the skillful workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of those who do any workmanship, and of those who make skillful works.
