1 Herren talte til Moses og sa,

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Dette skal være loven for den spedalske den dagen han skal renses. Han skal føres til presten,

"This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing. He shall be brought to the priest,

3 og presten skal gå ut av leiren. Presten skal undersøke ham, og se, dersom spedalskheten er blitt helbredet hos den spedalske,

and the priest shall go forth out of the camp. The priest shall examine him, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy is healed in the leper,

4 da skal presten befale at det hentes to levende, rene fugler, sedertre, skarlagen og isop for ham som skal renses.

then the priest shall command them to take for him who is to be cleansed two living clean birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

5 Presten skal befale at en av fuglene slaktes i et leirkar over rennende vann.

The priest shall command them to kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.

6 Den levende fuglen skal han ta sammen med sedertreet, skarlagen og isopen, og dyppe dem og den levende fuglen i blodet fra fuglen som ble slaktet over det rennende vannet.

As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water.

7 Han skal stenke det syv ganger på den som skal renses fra spedalskheten, erklære ham ren, og slippe den levende fuglen fri ut på marken.

He shall sprinkle on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird go into the open field.

8 Den som skal renses, skal vaske klærne sine, barbere av alt håret og bade seg i vann; da er han ren. Etterpå kan han komme inn i leiren, men han skal oppholde seg utenfor teltet sitt i syv dager.

"He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water; and he shall be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.

9 På den sjuende dagen skal han barbere av alt håret på hodet, skjegget og øyenbrynene, ja, alt håret skal han barbere av. Han skal vaske klærne sine og bade kroppen sin i vann, og så skal han være ren.

It shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off. He shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his body in water, then he shall be clean.

10 På den åttende dagen skal han ta to feilfrie værlam og ett feilfritt årsgammelt søyelam, tre tiendedeler av en efa fint mel blandet med olje til matoffer, og en log olje.

"On the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb a year old without blemish, and three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.

11 Presten som renser ham, skal stille mannen som skal renses, og alle tingene, framfor Herren ved inngangen til møteteltet.

The priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed, and those things, before Yahweh, at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

12 Presten skal ta ett av værlammene og bære det fram som skyldoffer sammen med olje-logen, og svinge dem som et svingoffer framfor Herren.

"The priest shall take one of the male lambs, and offer him for a trespass offering, with the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

13 Han skal slakte værlammet der hvor syndofferet og brennofferet slaktes, på det hellige stedet. For likesom syndofferet tilhører presten, så gjør skyldofferet det også. Det er høyhellig.

He shall kill the male lamb in the place where they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the place of the sanctuary; for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering. It is most holy.

14 Presten skal ta litt av blodet fra skyldofferet og sette det på øreflippen til den høyre øret på den som skal renses, tommelen på hans høyre hånd og stortåen på hans høyre fot.

The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

15 Presten skal ta litt av olje-logen og helle det i håndflaten på sin venstre hånd.

The priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.

16 Presten skal dyppe sin høyre finger i oljen i venstrehånden og stenke litt av oljen med sin finger syv ganger framfor Herren.

The priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before Yahweh.

17 Den gjenværende oljen i hånden skal presten sette på øreflippen til den høyre øret på den som skal renses, tommelen på hans høyre hånd og stortåen på hans høyre fot, der hvor blodet fra skyldofferet er.

The priest shall put some of the rest of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering.

18 Resten av oljen som er i prestens hånd, skal han sette på hodet til den som skal renses, og presten skal gjøre soning for ham framfor Herren.

The rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before Yahweh.

19 Presten skal ofre syndofferet og gjøre soning for den som skal renses på grunn av hans urenhet. Etterpå skal han slakte brennofferet,

"The priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness: and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering;

20 og presten skal ofre brennofferet og matofferet på alteret. Presten skal gjøre soning for ham, og han skal være ren.

and the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meal offering on the altar. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

21 Hvis han er fattig og ikke kan betale så mye, da skal han ta ett værlam som skyldoffer for en svingoffer, for å gjøre soning for ham, og en tiendedel av en efa fint mel blandet med olje til matoffer, og en log olje,

"If he is poor, and can't afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil;

22 og to turtelduer eller to unge duer som han kan ha råd til; det ene som syndoffer, og det andre som brennoffer.

and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

23 På den åttende dagen skal han bringe dem til sin renselse til presten, ved inngangen til møteteltet, framfor Herren.

"On the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh.

24 Presten skal ta værlammet for skyldofferet og olje-logen, og presten skal svinge dem som et svingoffer framfor Herren.

The priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

25 Han skal slakte værlammet for skyldofferet. Presten skal ta litt av blodet fra skyldofferet og sette det på øreflippen til den høyre øret på den som skal renses, tommelen på hans høyre hånd og stortåen på hans høyre fot.

He shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering. The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

26 Presten skal helle litt av oljen i håndflaten på sin venstre hånd,

The priest shall pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand;

27 og presten skal stenke med sin høyre finger litt av oljen i sin venstre hånd syv ganger framfor Herren.

and the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before Yahweh.

28 Så skal presten sette litt av oljen i sin hånd på øreflippen til den høyre øret på den som skal renses, tommelen på hans høyre hånd og stortåen på hans høyre fot, der hvor blodet fra skyldofferet er.

Then the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.

29 Resten av oljen i prestens hånd skal han sette på hodet til den som skal renses, for å gjøre soning for ham framfor Herren.

The rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Yahweh.

30 Han skal ofre den ene av turtelduene eller de unge duene, den som han kan ha råd til,

He shall offer one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he is able to afford,

31 den ene som syndoffer og den andre som brennoffer, sammen med matofferet. Presten skal gjøre soning for den som skal renses, framfor Herren."

even such as he is able to afford, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meal offering. The priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Yahweh."

32 Dette er loven for den som har spedalskhet, som ikke kan betale for sin renselse.

This is the law for him in whom is the plague of leprosy, who is not able to afford the sacrifice for his cleansing.

33 Herren talte til Moses og til Aron og sa,

Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

34 "Når dere er kommet til Kanaans land, som jeg gir dere til eiendom, og jeg setter en muggsopp i et hus i landet deres,

"When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put a spreading mildew in a house in the land of your possession,

35 da skal huseieren komme og fortelle presten: 'Det ser ut til å være en plage i huset mitt.'

then he who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, 'There seems to me to be some sort of plague in the house.'

36 Presten skal befale at huset tømmes før presten går inn for å undersøke plagen, for at alt som er i huset ikke skal bli urent. Deretter skal presten gå inn for å inspisere huset.

The priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest goes in to examine the plague, that all that is in the house not be made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to inspect the house.

37 Han skal undersøke plagen. Hvis plagen på veggene i huset består av grønnlige eller rødlige fordypninger som synes dypere enn selve veggen,

He shall examine the plague; and, behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and it appears to be deeper than the wall;

38 skal presten gå ut av huset til døren til huset og stenge huset i syv dager.

then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

39 På den sjuende dagen skal presten komme tilbake og undersøke huset. Hvis plagen har spredt seg på husets vegger,

The priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house,

40 skal presten befale at steinene med plagen tas ut og kastes på et urent sted utenfor byen.

then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which is the plague, and cast them into an unclean place outside of the city:

41 Hele innsiden av huset skal skrapes grundig, og støvet som skrapes av, skal kastes på et urent sted utenfor byen.

and he shall cause the inside of the house to be scraped round about, and they shall pour out the mortar, that they scraped off, outside of the city into an unclean place.

42 De skal ta andre steiner og sette dem på plass der steinene var, og de skal ta ny mørtel og pusse huset.

They shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.

43 Hvis plagen kommer igjen og bryter ut i huset etter at steinene er tatt ut, huset er skrapt og pusset,

"If the plague comes again, and breaks out in the house, after he has taken out the stones, and after he has scraped the house, and after it was plastered;

44 skal presten komme inn og undersøke. Hvis plagen har spredt seg i huset, er det en ødeleggende muggsopp i huset. Det er urent.

then the priest shall come in and look; and, behold, if the plague has spread in the house, it is a destructive mildew in the house. It is unclean.

45 Han skal rive ned huset, steinene, bjelkene og alt murverket i huset, og føre dem ut av byen til et urent sted.

He shall break down the house, its stones, and its timber, and all the house's mortar. He shall carry them out of the city into an unclean place.

46 Den som går inn i huset mens det er stengt, skal være uren til kvelden.

"Moreover he who goes into the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening.

47 Den som legger seg i huset, skal vaske klærne sine; og den som spiser i huset, skal vaske klærne sine.

He who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes; and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

48 Hvis presten kommer inn og undersøker det, og plagen ikke har spredt seg i huset etter at det er pusset, skal presten erklære huset for rent fordi plagen er helbredet.

"If the priest shall come in, and examine it, and, behold, the plague hasn't spread in the house, after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

49 For å rense huset skal han ta to fugler, sedertre, skarlagen og isop.

To cleanse the house he shall take two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

50 Han skal slakte den ene fuglen i et leirkar over rennende vann.

He shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.

51 Han skal ta sedertreet, isopen, skarlagenet og den levende fuglen, og dyppe dem i blodet fra den drepte fuglen og i det rennende vannet, og stenke huset syv ganger.

He shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

52 Han skal rense huset med blodet fra fuglen, det rennende vannet, den levende fuglen, sedertreet, isopen og skarlagenet.

He shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, with the living bird, with the cedar wood, with the hyssop, and with the scarlet;

53 Han skal la den levende fuglen fly rett ut av byen, ut på marken. Slik skal han gjøre soning for huset, og det skal være rent."

but he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the open field. So shall he make atonement for the house; and it shall be clean."

54 Dette er loven for alle plager av spedalskhet og for kløe,

This is the law for any plague of leprosy, and for an itch,

55 og for skadelig muggsopp på et klesplagg, og for et hus,

and for the destructive mildew of a garment, and for a house,

56 og for en hevelse, en skorpe og en lys flekk,

and for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot;

57 for å lære når det er urent, og når det er rent. Dette er loven om spedalskhet.

to teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean. This is the law of leprosy.
