1 Hvis hans offer er et fredsoffer fra buskapen, enten han tilbyr en okse eller ei ku, skal han bringe det uten lyte for Herren.

"'If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings; if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before Yahweh.

2 Han skal legge hånden på hodet til sitt offer og slakte det ved inngangen til møteteltet, og Arons sønner, prestene, skal sprenge blodet på alteret rundt omkring.

He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tent of meeting: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood on the altar round about.

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away.

5 Arons sønner skal brenne det på alteret, over brennofferet som er på veden på ilden; det er et ildoffer, en velbehagelig duft for Herren.

Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Yahweh.

6 Hvis hans offer for et fredsoffer for Herren er fra småfeet; enten en vær eller en sau, skal han bringe det uten lyte.

"'If his offering for a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh is from the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

7 Hvis han tilbyr et lam i sitt offer, skal han bringe det fram for Herren;

If he offers a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before Yahweh;

9 Fra fredsofferet skal han bringe et ildoffer for Herren; fettet, hele fetthalen, skal han ta bort like ved ryggbeinet; og fettet som dekker innvollene, og alt fettet som er på innvollene,

He shall offer from the sacrifice of peace offerings an offering made by fire to Yahweh; its fat, the entire tail fat, he shall take away close to the backbone; and the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards,

10 og de to nyrene og fettet som er på dem, ved hoftene, og hinnene på leveren, som han skal ta bort sammen med nyrene.

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away.

11 Presten skal brenne det på alteret; det er maten for et ildoffer for Herren.

The priest shall burn it on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire to Yahweh.

12 Hvis hans offer er en geit, skal han bringe den fram for Herren;

"'If his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before Yahweh:

13 og han skal legge hånden på hodet til den, og slakte den foran møteteltet; og Arons sønner skal sprenge blodet på alteret rundt omkring.

and he shall lay his hand on its head, and kill it before the tent of meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood on the altar round about.

17 Dette skal være en evig forordning gjennom alle deres slekter i alle deres hjem at dere verken skal spise fett eller blod."

"'It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, that you shall eat neither fat nor blood.'"
