Nowe, in the fifteenth yere of ye raigne of Tiberius Cesar, Pontius Pilate being lieftenaut of Iurie, and Herode being tetrarch of Galilee, & his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea, and of the region of ye Trachonites, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abiline,

  • 15Eliud begat Eleazar, Eleazar begat Matthan, Matthan begat Iacob.

  • 7Then Herode, when he had priuilye called the wyse men, inquired of the diligently, what tyme the starre appeared.

  • 24For Iohn was not yet cast into prison.

  • 9And Herode sayde, Iohn haue I beheaded, but who is this of who I heare such thinges? And he desired to see him.

  • 13And led hym away to Annas first, (for he was father in lawe vnto Caiaphas,) which was ye hye priest that same yere: And Annas sent Christe bounde vnto Caiaphas the hye priest.
