2 And at that time, as Eli lay in his place, his eyes began to waxe dimme that he could not see.
3 And yet the light of God went out, Samuel slept in the temple of the Lorde, where the Arke of God was.

9 Therefore Eli saide vnto Samuel, Goe and sleepe: and if he call thee, then say, Speake Lorde, for thy seruant heareth. So Samuel went, and slept in his place.
10 And the Lord came, and stoode, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speake, for thy seruant heareth.
11 Then the Lord said to Samuel, Beholde, I wil doe a thing in Israel, whereof whosoeuer shall heare, his two eares shall tingle.
14 Nowe therefore I haue sworne vnto the house of Eli, that the wickednes of Elis house, shal not be purged with sacrifice nor offring for euer.
15 Afterward Samuel slept vntil the morning, and opened the doores of the house of the Lord, and Samuel feared to shewe Eli the vision.
16 Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel my sonne; he answered, Here I am.
17 Then he said, What is it, that the Lord said vnto thee? I pray thee, hide it not from mee. God doe so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me, of all that he said vnto thee.
18 So Samuel tolde him euery whit, and hid nothing from him. Then hee said, It is the Lorde: let him do what seemeth him good.
19 And Samuel grew, & the Lord was with him, and let none of his words fall to the ground.
20 And all Israel fro Dan to Beer-sheba knew that faithfull Samuel was the Lordes Prophet.
21 And the Lorde appeared againe in Shiloh: for the Lorde reueiled himselfe to Samuel in Shiloh by his word.
17 Therefore the sinne of the yong men was very great before the Lorde: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
18 Now Samuel being a yong childe ministred before the Lord, girded with a linen Ephod.
11 And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house, and the childe did minister vnto the Lord before Eli the Priest.
12 Now the sonnes of Eli were wicked men, and knewe not the Lord.

21 And the Lorde visited Hannah, so that she conceiued, & bare three sonnes, & two daughters; the childe Samuel grewe before the Lord.
22 So Eli was very olde, and heard all that his sonnes did vnto all Israel, and howe they laye with the women that assembled at the doore of the tabernacle of the Congregation.
20 For in processe of time Hannah conceiued, and bare a sonne, and she called his name Samuel, Because, said she, I haue asked him of the Lord.
3 Nowe for a long season Israel hath bene without the true God, and without Priest to teach and without Lawe.
6 In those dayes there was no King in Israel, but euery man did that which was good in his owne eyes.

10 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Samuel, saying,
15 But the Lord had reueiled to Samuel secretly (a day before Saul came) saying,
4 For the children of Israel shall remaine many dayes without a King & without a prince, and without an offering, and without an image, and without an Ephod and without Teraphim.
12 And as she continued praying before the Lord, Eli marked her mouth.
4 Then the worde of the Lorde came vnto me, saying,
1 When Samuel was nowe become olde, he made his sonnes Iudges ouer Israel.

13 So the Philistims were brought vnder, and they came no more againe into the coastes of Israel: and the hand of the Lorde was against the Philistims all the dayes of Samuel.
1 Then sayde the Lord vnto me, Though Moses and Samuel stoode before mee, yet mine affection coulde not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them depart.
21 Therefore when Samuel heard all ye wordes of ye people, he rehearsed the in ye eares of ye Lord.
16 Moreouer, when yee be increased and multiplied in the land, in those daies, saieth the Lorde, they shall say no more, The Arke of the couenant of the Lorde: for it shall come no more to minde, neither shall they remember it, neither shal they visite it, for that shalbe no more done.
9 Then Samuel tooke a sucking lambe, and offered it all together for a burnt offering vnto the Lord, and Samuel cryed vnto the Lord for Israel, and the Lord heard him.
1 In the beginning of the reigne of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this worde from the Lorde, saying,
22 But Hannah went not vp: for she sayd vnto her husband, I will tarie vntill the childe be weined, then I will bring him that hee may appeare before the Lord, and there abide for euer.

15 And Samuel iudged Israel all the dayes of his life,
