17Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in euery worde and good worke.

17For our light affliction which is but for a moment, causeth vnto vs a farre most excellent and an eternall waight of glorie:
2And haue sent Timotheus our brother and minister of God, and our labour felow in the Gospel of Christ, to stablish you, and to comfort you touching your faith,
3That no man should be moued with these afflictions: for ye your selues knowe, that we are appointed thereunto.
4For verily when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulations, euen as it came to passe, and ye knowe it.
18Wherefore, comfort your selues one another with these wordes.
5For our Gospell was not vnto you in worde only, but also in power, and in the holy Ghost, and in much assurance, as ye know after what maner we were among you for your sakes.
6And ye became followers of vs, and of the Lorde, and receiued the worde in much affliction, with ioy of the holy Ghost,
10As sorowing, and yet always reioycing: as poore, and yet make many riche: as hauing nothing, and yet possessing all things.
6Wherein yee reioyce, though nowe for a season (if neede require) yee are in heauinesse, through manifolde tentations,
12For our reioycing is this, the testimonie of our conscience, that in simplicitie and godly purenesse, and not in fleshly wisedome, but by the grace of God wee haue had our conuersation in the worlde, and most of all to you wardes.
10And the God of all grace, which hath called vs vnto his eternall glory by Christ Iesus, after that ye haue suffered a litle, make you perfite, confirme, strengthen and stablish you.
2Because in great triall of affliction their ioy abounded, and their most extreeme pouertie abounded vnto their rich liberalitie.
29For vnto you it is giuen for Christ, that not onely ye should beleeue in him, but also suffer for his sake,
30Hauing the same fight, which ye sawe in me, and nowe heare to be in me.
18For I count that the afflictions of this present time are not worthy of the glory, which shalbe shewed vnto vs.
11And not onely so, but we also reioyce in God through our Lord Iesus Christ, by whom we haue nowe receiued the atonement.
4But in all things we approue our selues as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

13For whether we be out of our wit, we are it to God: or whether we be in our right minde, we are it vnto you.
14For that loue of Christ constraineth vs,
12That is, that I might be comforted together with you, through our mutuall faith, both yours and mine.
15For all thinges are for your sakes, that that most plenteous grace by the thankesgiuing of many, may redound to the praise of God.
4For in great affliction, & anguish of heart I wrote vnto you with many teares: not that yee should be made sorie, but that ye might perceiue the loue which I haue, specially vnto you.
4And such trust haue we through Christ to God:
8Wee are afflicted on euery side, yet are we not in distresse: we are in doubt, but yet wee despaire not.
14Now thankes be vnto God, which alwaies maketh vs to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the sauour of his knowledge by vs in euery place.
