It is he that giueth deliuerance vnto Kings, and rescueth Dauid his seruant from the hurtfull sworde.

Jer 27:6-8 : 6 But nowe I haue giuen all these landes into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and the beastes of the fielde haue I also giuen him to serue him. 7 And all nations shall serue him, and his sonne, and his sonnes sonne vntill the very time of his lande come also: then many nations and great Kinges shall serue themselues of him. 8 And the nation and kingdome which will not serue the same Nebuchad-nezzar king of Babel, and that will not put their necke vnder the yoke of the King of Babel, the same nation will I visite, saith the Lord, with the sworde, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, vntill I haue wholy giuen them into his hands.

2 Sam 8:6-9 : 6 And Dauid put a garison in Aram of Damesek: and the Aramites became seruants to Dauid, and brought gifts; the Lord saued Dauid wheresoeuer he went. 7 And Dauid tooke the shieldes of gold that beloged to the seruants of Hadadezer, & brought them to Ierusalem. 8 And out of Betah, and Berothai (cities of Hadadezer) king Dauid brought exceeding much brasse. 9 Then Toi king of Hamath heard howe Dauid had smitten all the hoste of Hadadezer, 10 Therefore Toi sent Ioram his sonne vnto King Dauid, to salute him, & to reioyce with him because he had fought against Hadadezer, & beaten him (for Hadadezer had warre with Toi) who brought with him vessels of siluer, and vessels of golde, and vessels of brasse. 11 And King Dauid did dedicate them vnto the Lord with the siluer & golde that he had dedicate of all the nations, which he had subdued: 12 Of Aram, and of Moab, & of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistims, and of Amalek, & of the spoyle of Hadadezer ye sonne of Rehob King of Zobah. 13 So Dauid gate a name after that hee returned, & had slayne of the Aramites in the valley of salt eighteene thousand men. 14 And he put a garison in Edom: throughout all Edom put he souldiers, and all they of Edom became Dauids seruants: and the Lord kept Dauid whithersoeuer he went.
2 Sam 21:16-17 : 16 Then Ishi-benob which was of the sonnes of Haraphah (the head of whose speare wayed three hundreth shekels of brasse) euen he being girded with a newe sword, thought to haue slaine Dauid. 17 But Abishai the sonne of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistim, and killed him. Then Dauids men sware vnto him, saying, Thou shalt goe no more out with vs to battell, lest thou quench the light of Israel.
2 Kgs 5:1 : 1 Now was there one Naaman captaine of the hoste of the King of Aram, a great man, and honourable in the sight of his lorde, because that by him the Lorde had deliuered the Aramites. He also was a mightie man and valiant, but a leper.
