2That the elder men be watchful, graue, teperate, sounde in the faith, in loue, & in patience:
1Pvt them in remembrance that they bee subiect to the Principalities and powers, and that they bee obedient, and ready to euery good woorke,
1Wherefore since we coulde no longer forbeare, wee thought it good to remaine at Athens alone,
2And haue sent Timotheus our brother and minister of God, and our labour felow in the Gospel of Christ, to stablish you, and to comfort you touching your faith,
13Till I come, giue attendance to reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine.
14Despise not the gift that is in thee, which was giuen thee by prophecie with the laying on of the hands of the companie of the Eldership.

15But if I tary long, that thou maist yet know, how thou oughtest to behaue thy self in ye house of God, which is the Church of the liuing God, the pillar and ground of trueth.
5For if any cannot rule his owne house, how shall he care for the Church of God?
14That thou keepe this commaundement without spot, and vnrebukeable, vntill the appearing of our Lord Iesus Christ,

15I will endeuour therefore alwayes, that ye also may be able to haue remembrance of these things after my departing.
