4¶ To whom coming, [as unto] a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, [and] precious,
5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

3¶ Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
11¶ [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,

1¶ For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
21¶ [As] the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so [is] a man to his praise.
24‹Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:›
25‹And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.›

3Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
3¶ The fining pot [is] for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.
2Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for [things to be made] of gold, and the silver for [things] of silver, and the brass for [things] of brass, the iron for [things] of iron, and wood for [things] of wood; onyx stones, and [stones] to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

4[With] three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house:
6‹If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast› [them] ‹into the fire, and they are burned.›
15Moreover [there are] workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
19And the foundations of the wall of the city [were] garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation [was] jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
6Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
6The stones of it [are] the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.
19The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
11For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
