1¶ Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?

11Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

17For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation [of the gospel] is committed unto me.
18What is my reward then? [Verily] that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
19¶ For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
7¶ Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he [is] Christ's, even so [are] we Christ's.
8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
9That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
2Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
8(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
7Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, [and] lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
10¶ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

5¶ Who then is Paul, and who [is] Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
17But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
16¶ I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
12Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
13For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
12¶ And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
30Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear [to be] in me.
3Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.
15Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if [it had been] possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.
6But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed [to be somewhat] in conference added nothing to me:
15¶ Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
10As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
