31 ¶ And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed [them] before Saul: and he sent for him.

13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence [art] thou? And he answered, I [am] the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD'S anointed?
17 And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.
18 And David said unto Saul, Who [am] I? and what [is] my life, [or] my father's family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?
19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which [is] with the sheep.
32 And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done?
1 ¶ And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what [is] mine iniquity? and what [is] my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life?
