3And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou [art], and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee.
23And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.
14And Samuel said, What [meaneth] then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
13The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father [to do] thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.
16And the man said unto Eli, I [am] he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?
21And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.
17Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant [thee] thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
2And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear [it], he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.
3And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me [him] whom I name unto thee.
15¶ And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
10¶ Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,
18What can David [speak] more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
1¶ And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; [there was] no open vision.
37Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?
13For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
11¶ And he said, Who told thee that thou [wast] naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
19But he himself turned again from the quarries that [were] by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.
21And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
20And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord GOD, knowest thy servant.
18¶ Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house [is].
7And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:
2And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed [my] servants to such and such a place.
11And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah [is here].
19And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide [it] not from me.
8Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
10And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.
