1¶ David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard [it], they went down thither to him.
9So David went, he and the six hundred men that [were] with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed.
8¶ And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those [nations were] of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.
30Zanoah, Adullam, and [in] their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at Azekah, and [in] the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
1¶ And [David] made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
13Then David and his men, [which were] about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they could go. And it was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah; and he forbare to go forth.

17And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.

1¶ And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
3And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
55And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it.
12¶ So David's young men turned their way, and went again, and came and told him all those sayings.
10And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
16And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
1¶ Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we [are] thy bone and thy flesh.
