3¶ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
8Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
15¶ Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
17But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
11¶ Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of [this] calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of [his] goodness, and the work of faith with power:
7¶ Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
5Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
1¶ For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
26For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:
13The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
3We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
12And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
9God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
9¶ But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
1¶ The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
4I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
5That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and [in] all knowledge;
6Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1¶ Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
9¶ But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
3Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
1¶ Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
18Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
