2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
15Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
7And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
3As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: [so do].
1¶ But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
9This [is] a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
1¶ Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [so] ye would abound more and more.
2For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
7In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine [shewing] uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

8[This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
4And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
9Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
2And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
3If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
14¶ Of these things put [them] in remembrance, charging [them] before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, [but] to the subverting of the hearers.
18¶ This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them];
11Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
16Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
17¶ For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13¶ I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and [before] Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14That thou keep [this] commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
17‹These things I command you, that ye love one another.›
13Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
1¶ Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.
11If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
14Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men].
21I charge [thee] before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
37If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
4¶ Thou hast commanded [us] to keep thy precepts diligently.
8¶ Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
