21[It is] good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor [any thing] whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

1¶ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
24Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22Abstain from all appearance of evil.
3For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash [their] hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

21Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

2That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
