14¶ There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just [men], unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked [men], to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also [is] vanity.
16For a just [man] falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
4Who can bring a clean [thing] out of an unclean? not one.
1¶ There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it [is] common among men:

6¶ Righteousness keepeth [him that is] upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.
20¶ Behold, God will not cast away a perfect [man], neither will he help the evil doers:
27He looketh upon men, and [if any] say, I have sinned, and perverted [that which was] right, and it profited me not;
7Lo, [this is] the man [that] made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his wickedness.
6¶ In the transgression of an evil man [there is] a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
12I know that [there is] no good in them, but for [a man] to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
36If they sin against thee, (for [there is] no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before [their] enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;

21Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee:
10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
2All [things come] alike to all: [there is] one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as [is] the good, so [is] the sinner; [and] he that sweareth, as [he] that feareth an oath.
15[That which is] crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.
8¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
31¶ Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
5But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,
20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.
3The words of his mouth [are] iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, [and] to do good.
20I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?
27¶ An unjust man [is] an abomination to the just: and [he that is] upright in the way [is] abomination to the wicked.
2Blessed [is] the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit [there is] no guile.
7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
