14Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also [that is] born unto thee shall surely die.
18[As for] his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did [that] which [is] not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.
14And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
17Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18Lest the LORD see [it], and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
11For this [is] an heinous crime; yea, it [is] an iniquity [to be punished by] the judges.
