¶ Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

  • 15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD [is] at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

  • 23 For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

  • 6 I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.

  • 28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, [and] in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.

  • 21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
