1¶ Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because [they are] many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
15Cursed [be] the man that maketh [any] graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth [it] in [a] secret [place]. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
16Cursed [be] he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
16Cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the field.
17Cursed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
13O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, [and] they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
25¶ He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
26¶ He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
22Cease ye from man, whose breath [is] in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

15Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.
20¶ Surely [as] a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
31Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity [shall be] upon him.
10For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I [am], and none else beside me.
4Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
