13Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.

9Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye [so] mock him?
2For what portion of God [is there] from above? and [what] inheritance of the Almighty from on high?

20And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
9Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not [one] be cast down even at the sight of him?
18Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
2No doubt but ye [are] the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
17Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied [him]? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil [is] good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where [is] the God of judgment?
47Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
11Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all [was] vanity and vexation of spirit, and [there was] no profit under the sun.
