1¶ Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
3Who [is] he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

4Knowest thou [not] this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
8Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
9What knowest thou, that we know not? [what] understandest thou, which [is] not in us?
3And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
30¶ [There is] no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
11¶ I will teach you by the hand of God: [that] which [is] with the Almighty will I not conceal.
23God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
3Behold, thou [art] wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

27That they may know that this [is] thy hand; [that] thou, LORD, hast done it.

19Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes [are] open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
4¶ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5Many, O LORD my God, [are] thy wonderful works [which] thou hast done, and thy thoughts [which are] to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: [if] I would declare and speak [of them], they are more than can be numbered.
3Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
