9‹And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.›
10‹But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.›
15Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.
32The stranger did not lodge in the street: [but] I opened my doors to the traveller.
36Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

4And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
23‹Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?›
7¶ And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,
5And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
37¶ And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
25‹When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:›
12He said therefore, ‹A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.›
16‹And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.›
17‹And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!›
