¶ Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,

  • 9 And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

  • 13 ¶ And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

  • 2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this [fellow] perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

  • 6 Now at [that] feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
