1¶ A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
13Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble [which I suffer] of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
17Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God [is] my defence, [and] the God of my mercy.

19¶ Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, [and] I will praise the LORD:

10All my bones shall say, LORD, who [is] like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
9He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.
31For who [is] God save the LORD? or who [is] a rock save our God?
32[It is] God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
3Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou [art] my rock and my fortress.
10Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
11God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
6Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
10And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.
48It [is] God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
8Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise [men] out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
1¶ In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will [God] appoint [for] walls and bulwarks.
14And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.
24I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of besieged places.
15My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
3For thou [art] my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
4Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou [art] my strength.
10I will be thy king: where [is any other] that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
17Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
2I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.
7¶ Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase [it], rase [it, even] to the foundation thereof.
21Blessed [be] the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
