12 ¶ Having many things to write unto you, I would not [write] with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
15 ¶ And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;
16 And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.
5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
8 ¶ Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your [company].

8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 ¶ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment;
11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift [bestowed] upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
11 ¶ Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of [this] calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of [his] goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
17 ¶ But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
6 ¶ But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also [to see] you:
19 But I beseech [you] the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.
7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
3 ¶ I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual [gifts], seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
14 ¶ These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
1 ¶ For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and [for] them at Laodicea, and [for] as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace [be] to thee. [Our] friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.
22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, [even] your perfection.
10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love [which ye have] to all the saints,
