26So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.

13I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
20But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

11And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

2Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:
1And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
25Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of usalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
7And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David.
9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
2And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
3And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.
18And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
20And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.
23Moreover the word of the LORD came to emiah, saying,
9Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
30So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.
17And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
7Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
45And king Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the LORD for ever.
