23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and niel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 Now at the end of the ys that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like niel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

11 Then said niel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over niel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
14 I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.
15 And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:
16 And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.
17 Then niel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
5 And the king appointed them a ily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
6 Now among these were of the children of Juh, niel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
7 Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto niel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abed-nego.
8 But at the last niel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,
9 O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.
6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto niel: and the king spake and said to niel, O niel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take niel up out of the den. So niel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
47 The king answered unto niel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.
48 Then the king made niel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
49 Then niel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but niel sat in the gate of the king.

16 Then niel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.
18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
28 So this niel prospered in the reign of rius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
19 Then was the secret revealed unto niel in a night vision. Then niel blessed the God of heaven.
11 Then these men assembled, and found niel praying and making supplication before his God.
3 Then this niel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.
