20But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
30Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be stroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
40And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
3Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the LORD thy God hath stroyed them from among you.
22These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he add no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and livered them unto me.
23And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elrs;
12Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
16Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not ceived, and ye turn asi, and serve other gods, and worship them;
25The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not sire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.
3And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
35With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:
16And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had ma you a molten calf: ye had turned asi quickly out of the way which the LORD had command you.
17Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath command thee.
17And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
33Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.

14Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
15(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and stroy thee from off the face of the earth.
22Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.
28And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
18For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
13Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:
