Unrstand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.

  • 1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God command to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:

  • 53 For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.
