11Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.
9And hua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.
15And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.
19And hua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
13And it came to pass, when hua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and hua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
14And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And hua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
15And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto hua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And hua did so.
17And he said, What is the thing that the LORD hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
22And hua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
19And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.

7We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.
3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

23Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
24Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD'S people to transgress.
5And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:
