16And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.

18And the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.

8And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
7But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.
9If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.
9And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.
36Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:

20This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.

11And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
21And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,
22Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king's high way, until we be past thy borders.
9Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
11Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.
28And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
14And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.
15And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.

36From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God livered all unto us:
