8 Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expences be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.

5 But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius: and then they returned answer by letter concerning this matter.
13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.
17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladns, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.
10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the prence of Ahasuerus the king,
16 But the other Jews that were in the king's provinc gathered themselv together, and stood for their liv, and had rt from their enemi, and slew of their fo seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
17 On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rted they, and made it a day of feasting and gladns.
22 Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every o with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.
5 And the king appointed them a ily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
12 Haman said moreover, Yea, ther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.

10 We asked their names also, to certify thee, that we might write the names of the men that were the chief of them.
12 And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you.
70 And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
