Thus saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068}, The heaven{H8064} is my throne{H3678}, and the earth{H776} is my footstool{H7272}{H1916}: where is the house{H1004} that ye build{H1129}{(H8799)} unto me? and where is the place{H4725} of my rest{H4496}?

For all those things hath mine hand{H3027} made{H6213}{(H8804)}, and all those things have been, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}: but to this man will I look{H5027}{(H8686)}, even to him that is poor{H6041} and of a contrite{H5223} spirit{H7307}, and trembleth{H2730} at my word{H1697}.

He that killeth{H7819}{(H8802)} an ox{H7794} is as if he slew{H5221}{(H8688)} a man{H376}; he that sacrificeth{H2076}{(H8802)} a lamb{H7716}, as if he cut off{H6202} a dog's{H3611} neck{H6202}{(H8802)}; he that offereth{H5927}{(H8688)} an oblation{H4503}, as if he offered swine's{H2386} blood{H1818}; he that burneth{H2142}{(H8688)} incense{H3828}, as if he blessed{H1288}{(H8764)} an idol{H205}. Yea, they have chosen{H977}{(H8804)} their own ways{H1870}, and their soul{H5315} delighteth{H2654}{(H8804)} in their abominations{H8251}.

I also will choose{H977}{(H8799)} their delusions{H8586}, and will bring{H935}{(H8686)} their fears{H4035} upon them; because when I called{H7121}{(H8804)}, none did answer{H6030}{(H8802)}; when I spake{H1696}{(H8765)}, they did not hear{H8085}{(H8804)}: but they did{H6213}{(H8799)} evil{H7451} before mine eyes{H5869}, and chose{H977}{(H8804)} that in which I delighted{H2654}{(H8804)} not.

Hear{H8085}{(H8798)} the word{H1697} of the LORD{H3068}, ye that tremble{H2730} at his word{H1697}; Your brethren{H251} that hated{H8130}{(H8802)} you, that cast you out{H5077}{(H8764)} for my name's{H8034} sake, said{H559}{(H8804)}, Let the LORD{H3068} be glorified{H3513}{(H8799)}: but he shall appear{H7200}{(H8737)} to your joy{H8057}, and they shall be ashamed{H954}{(H8799)}.

A voice{H6963} of noise{H7588} from the city{H5892}, a voice{H6963} from the temple{H1964}, a voice{H6963} of the LORD{H3068} that rendereth{H7999}{(H8764)} recompence{H1576} to his enemies{H341}{(H8802)}.

Before she travailed{H2342}{(H8799)}, she brought forth{H3205}{(H8804)}; before her pain{H2256} came{H935}{(H8799)}, she was delivered{H4422}{(H8689)} of a man child{H2145}.

Who hath heard{H8085}{(H8804)} such a thing? who hath seen{H7200}{(H8804)} such things? Shall the earth{H776} be made to bring forth{H2342}{(H8714)} in one{H259} day{H3117}? or shall a nation{H1471} be born{H3205}{(H8735)} at once{H6471}? for as soon as{H1571} Zion{H6726} travailed{H2342}{(H8804)}, she brought forth{H3205}{(H8804)} her children{H1121}.

Shall I bring to the birth{H7665}{(H8686)}, and not cause to bring forth{H3205}{(H8686)}? saith{H559}{(H8799)} the LORD{H3068}: shall I{H589} cause to bring forth{H3205}{(H8688)}, and shut{H6113}{(H8804)} the womb? saith{H559}{(H8804)} thy God{H430}.

Rejoice{H8055}{(H8798)} ye with Jerusalem{H3389}, and be glad{H1523}{(H8798)} with her, all ye that love{H157}{(H8802)} her: rejoice{H7797}{(H8798)} for joy{H4885} with her, all ye that mourn{H56}{(H8693)} for her:

That ye may suck{H3243}{(H8799)}, and be satisfied{H7646}{(H8804)} with the breasts{H7699} of her consolations{H8575}; that ye may milk out{H4711}{(H8799)}, and be delighted{H6026}{(H8694)} with the abundance{H2123} of her glory{H3519}.

For thus saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068}, Behold, I will extend{H5186}{(H8802)} peace{H7965} to her like a river{H5104}, and the glory{H3519} of the Gentiles{H1471} like a flowing{H7857}{(H8802)} stream{H5158}: then shall ye suck{H3243}{(H8804)}, ye shall be borne{H5375}{(H8735)} upon her sides{H6654}, and be dandled{H8173}{(H8746)} upon her knees{H1290}.

As one{H376} whom his mother{H517} comforteth{H5162}{(H8762)}, so will I comfort{H5162}{(H8762)} you; and ye shall be comforted{H5162}{(H8792)} in Jerusalem{H3389}.

And when ye see{H7200}{(H8804)} this, your heart{H3820} shall rejoice{H7797}{(H8804)}, and your bones{H6106} shall flourish{H6524}{(H8799)} like an herb{H1877}: and the hand{H3027} of the LORD{H3068} shall be known{H3045}{(H8738)} toward his servants{H5650}, and his indignation{H2194}{(H8804)} toward his enemies{H341}{(H8802)}.

For, behold, the LORD{H3068} will come{H935}{(H8799)} with fire{H784}, and with his chariots{H4818} like a whirlwind{H5492}, to render{H7725}{(H8687)} his anger{H639} with fury{H2534}, and his rebuke{H1606} with flames{H3851} of fire{H784}.

For by fire{H784} and by his sword{H2719} will the LORD{H3068} plead{H8199}{(H8737)} with all flesh{H1320}: and the slain{H2491} of the LORD{H3068} shall be many{H7231}{(H8804)}.

They that sanctify{H6942}{(H8693)} themselves, and purify{H2891}{(H8693)} themselves in the gardens{H1593} behind{H310} one{H259} tree in the midst{H8432}, eating{H398}{(H8802)} swine's{H2386} flesh{H1320}, and the abomination{H8263}, and the mouse{H5909}, shall be consumed{H5486}{(H8799)} together{H3162}, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}.

For I know their works{H4639} and their thoughts{H4284}: it shall come{H935}{(H8802)}, that I will gather{H6908}{(H8763)} all nations{H1471} and tongues{H3956}; and they shall come{H935}{(H8804)}, and see{H7200}{(H8804)} my glory{H3519}.

And I will set{H7760}{(H8804)} a sign{H226} among them, and I will send{H7971}{(H8765)} those that escape{H6412} of them unto the nations{H1471}, to Tarshish{H8659}, Pul{H6322}, and Lud{H3865}, that draw{H4900}{(H8802)} the bow{H7198}, to Tubal{H8422}, and Javan{H3120}, to the isles{H339} afar off{H7350}, that have not heard{H8085}{(H8804)} my fame{H8088}, neither have seen{H7200}{(H8804)} my glory{H3519}; and they shall declare{H5046}{(H8689)} my glory{H3519} among the Gentiles{H1471}.

And they shall bring{H935}{(H8689)} all your brethren{H251} for an offering{H4503} unto the LORD{H3068} out of all nations{H1471} upon horses{H5483}, and in chariots{H7393}, and in litters{H6632}, and upon mules{H6505}, and upon swift beasts{H3753}, to my holy{H6944} mountain{H2022} Jerusalem{H3389}, saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068}, as the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} bring{H935}{(H8686)} an offering{H4503} in a clean{H2889} vessel{H3627} into the house{H1004} of the LORD{H3068}.

And I will also take{H3947}{(H8799)} of them for priests{H3548} and for Levites{H3881}, saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068}.

For as the new{H2319} heavens{H8064} and the new{H2319} earth{H776}, which I will make{H6213}{(H8802)}, shall remain{H5975}{(H8802)} before{H6440} me, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}, so shall your seed{H2233} and your name{H8034} remain{H5975}{(H8799)}.

And it shall come to pass, that from{H1767} one new moon{H2320} to another{H2320}, and from{H1767} one sabbath{H7676} to another{H7676}, shall all flesh{H1320} come{H935}{(H8799)} to worship{H7812}{(H8692)} before{H6440} me, saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068}.

And they shall go forth{H3318}{(H8804)}, and look{H7200}{(H8804)} upon the carcases{H6297} of the men{H582} that have transgressed{H6586}{(H8802)} against me: for their worm{H8438} shall not die{H4191}{(H8799)}, neither shall their fire{H784} be quenched{H3518}{(H8799)}; and they shall be an abhorring{H1860} unto all flesh{H1320}.
