1

To the chief Musician{H8764)}, Altaschith{H8686)}, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak{H8762)} righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge{H8799)} uprightly, O ye sons of men?

2

Yea, in heart ye work{H8799)} wickedness; ye weigh{H8762)} the violence of your hands in the earth.

3

The wicked are estranged{H8804)} from the womb: they go astray{H8804)} as soon as they be born, speaking{H8802)} lies.

4

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth{H8686)} her ear;

5

Which will not hearken{H8799)} to the voice of charmers{H8764)}, charming{H8802)} never so wisely{H8794)}.

6

Break{H8798)} their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out{H8800)} the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

7

Let them melt away{H8735)} as waters which run continually{H8691)}: when he bendeth{H8799)} his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces{H8709)}.

8

As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away{H8799)}: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see{H8804)} the sun.

9

Before your pots can feel{H8799)} the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind{H8799)}, both living, and in his wrath.

10

The righteous shall rejoice{H8799)} when he seeth{H8804)} the vengeance: he shall wash{H8799)} his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11

So that a man shall say{H8799)}, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth{H8802)} in the earth.
