1 The word of the LORD also came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see but do not see; and ears to hear but do not hear: for they are a rebellious house.

Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

3 Therefore, son of man, prepare your belongings for departure, and remove by day in their sight; and you shall move from your place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

4 Then you shall bring out your belongings by day in their sight, as belongings for exile: and you shall go forth in the evening in their sight, as those who go into captivity.

5 Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry your belongings out through it.

6 In their sight you shall bear it upon your shoulders, and carry it forth at twilight: you shall cover your face, that you do not see the ground: for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel.

7 And I did so as I was commanded: I brought out my belongings by day, as belongings for captivity, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought them out at twilight, and I bore them on my shoulder in their sight.

10 Say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD; This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel who are among them.

11 Say, I am your sign: as I have done, so it shall be done to them: they shall move and go into captivity.

17 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18 Son of man, eat your bread with trembling, and drink your water with shaking and with anxiety;

19 And say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with desolation, that her land may be desolate from all that is in it, because of the violence of all who dwell therein.

20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

22 Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails?

23 Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb cease, and they shall no longer use it as a proverb in Israel; but say to them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.

24 For there shall be no more any empty vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

25 For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall no longer be postponed: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, says the Lord GOD.

26 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

27 Son of man, behold, the house of Israel says, The vision that he sees is for many days to come, and he prophesies of the times that are far off.

28 Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD; None of my words shall be postponed any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, says the Lord GOD.

Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.
