Therefore, O son of man, speak to the house of Israel; this is what you speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we waste away in them, how should we then live?

15If the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, walks in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
11Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off.
7So you, O son of man, I have set you a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

20Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.
21Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous do not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also you have delivered your soul.
9Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What are you doing?
10Say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD; This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel who are among them.
19Yet you say, ‘Why? Does not the son bear the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes, and has done them, he shall surely live.
20The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all My statutes, and do what is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22All his transgressions that he has committed shall not be mentioned to him: in his righteousness that he has done he shall live.
23Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? says the Lord GOD, and not that he should return from his ways and live?
24But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, should he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them he shall die.
4Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.
4For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel, Seek me, and you shall live:

19But if the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall live because of it.
20Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not fair. O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his ways.
10You, son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities, and let them measure the pattern.
3Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD; Have you come to inquire of me? As I live, says the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.
6And you shall say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; O house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
2Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take one of their borders, and set him as their watchman:
3As I live, says the Lord GOD, you shall no longer have occasion to use this proverb in Israel.
32Not for your sakes do I this, says the Lord GOD, be it known to you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
12The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
25Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD; You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall you possess the land?
5For I have laid upon you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; so shall you bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
