19Behold now, your servant has found grace in your sight, and you have magnified your mercy, which you have shown to me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil overtake me and I die.

8Behold now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; let me, I pray you, bring them to you, and do to them as seems good in your eyes: only do nothing to these men; for they have come under the shadow of my roof.
9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one came here to stay, and he will act as a judge: now we will deal worse with you than with them. And they pressed hard against Lot, and came near to break the door.
10But the men reached out their hands, pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door.

11Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated from each other.
12Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
